It’s his belief in cutting-edge technology and his expansive vision that drove Mr Handa to set up Epsilon Carbon, India’s first ever state-of-the-art continuous coal tar distillation unit in Karnataka. As India’s only backward-integrated company with a dedicated source of raw materials, Epsilon Carbon has become, within a short span of five years, a leader of the Coal Tar Chemicals industry in India. Mr Handa’s keen focus on high-quality products and ethical, sustainable production has made Epsilon Carbon one of the ‘cleanest’ and most sustainable Coal Tar and Carbon Black companies in the world. His results-oriented vision is now committed to seeing Epsilon Carbon take its place among global leaders in the Coal Tar and Carbon Black industries. He is committed to developing and maintaining research and development programmes to ensure that Epsilon Carbon remains at the forefront of the Carbon and Coal Tar industries.

Mr Handa is also the founder of Epsilon Advanced Materials Pvt Ltd., which is an upcoming global supplier of synthetic graphite anode materials for use in the production of lithium-ion battery materials. Founded on the core principles of alignment with sustainable growth; business integrity; innovation and technology, Epsilon Carbon Advanced Materials seeks to become the preferred supplier of India-manufactured synthetic graphite anodes to battery manufacturers and energy storage device companies across the globe.

Mr Handa holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Mathematics degree from Tufts University, USA and began his professional journey at Aerotech World LLC, a supplier of high-quality aerospace products and supply chain management solutions to the aviation industry. He is currently pursuing an Executive Education at Harvard Business School. Mr Handa is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Tarini Jindal Handa is the Creative Director of JSW Realty, the real estate arm of the JSW group. Her passion for design and quest for sustainability was the driving force behind the creation of this company. Trained in fashion and marketing, Mrs. Handa brings a fresh and innovative approach to the function and form of architecture in the Indian context. Her ability to work with both home-grown and foreign design talent helps bring an exciting change to the Mumbai skyline.

Supporting and promoting the arts is second nature to the Jindal family. Mrs. Handa brought ST+ART to Mumbai for various initiatives. This organisation aims to bring art to the people through street festivals and public installations. She is currently in the process of revamping the online, digital and media strategy for Art India, the country’s leading art magazine.

Mrs. Handa is also on the board of Victoria Mills, a museum for children and a creative hub that will be open to the public at large. Integration and inclusion are the cornerstones of Mrs. Handa’s work. To this end she is collaborating with the Mumbai Municipal Corporation to create free use of public toilets.

Mrs. Handa serves on the Boards of JSW Infrastructure, JSW Realty and amongst others.

Mr NK Jain holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He has over 40 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, finance, legal, and capital structuring.

Mr Jain joined the JSW Group in 1992. His immense contributions during his tenure there included leading the Group in its new ventures such as Energy, Infrastructure and Aluminium as well as spearheading various successful assignments for their Steel business.

Mr Jain has a keen interest in management development and human resource training. He is currently the Chairman of JSW Infrastructure Limited and serves on the Board of various JSW Group Companies.

Mr Vinod Kumar Handa has over five decades’ experience in the Oil and Natural Gas industry. He began his career as a field engineer with the Oil and Natural Gas Commission of India in 1971, and later moved to the UAE.

Mr Handa joined Schlumberger (Flopertol), Abu Dhabi, where he worked for five years as a field engineer. He then spent 28 years with Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority as a technical safety advisor.

He also served for five years as President of Enviro Management Corporation, MA, USA, where he set up environmental engineering businesses and co-ordination with US agencies for worldwide technology transfers for environmental projects.

He is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, USA; National Fire Protection Association USA; associate member of The Institution of Fire Engineers UK; and The Institution of Engineers, India.

Mr Handa has a Master’s degree in Science, Safety and Security Administration (Power, Gas & Oil) from University of Wisconsin, USA; Diploma in Safety Management & Engineering from University of Wisconsin, USA; and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

Mr. Jain has more than 2 decades of experience and is currently the Partner & Managing Director of Marrs Blue Water & Infra PE Fund. He is also an Advisory Board Member of Sustainable Growth Management (SGM) that runs the Sustainable Growth PE Funds. He has been leading the fund formation focused on Water, Energy and Infrastructure Investments. He has also been an Advisor to the USA and India-based PE & VC platforms, a few large Corporate Companies, Startups, etc. He led Aramco’s M&A, JV, and Private Equity transactions division in a large sovereign investment holding co. format. He was one of the Founding Managing Directors & Partners of the Teichos-Brookwood PE Fund. Prior, he was Co-CIO & Co-Head of Private Equity of a large SWF and principal in US-based CVC/VC platforms, including Intel Capital.

Mr. Ratan K Shah is currently works as a Coach and mentor for notable CEOs in India. In his career spanning for 40 years, he had an extensive and all-round exposure of operations, projects, maintenance, production, materials, financial, H.R. and overall profit centre Management in India and abroad. He has spearheaded and successfully implemented series of new initiatives to enhance organization competitiveness with focus on cultural change. Mr. Shah has been associated with Aditya Birla group for 40 years in various roles like; Projects, Manufacturing and General Management, Carbon Black, Cement, Steel, Aluminium, Acrylic Fibre, etc at senior and top-level roles. In his last role with ABG group he was working as GLOBAL TALENT MENTOR for manufacturing where he mentored Senior Manufacturing Professionals in the Aditya Birla group. A chemical engineer from IIT, Bombay, Mr. Shah later did his MS from University of Michigan. He is a certified CEO coach by CFI.

Bimal Goculdas is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at DMCC Speciality Chemicals Limited (Formerly known as “The Dharamsi Morarji Chemical Company Limited”) Mr. Goculdas is a technocrat with entrepreneurial spirit having deep expertise in sulphur and boron chemistry. He has been associated with DMCC for over two decades and has played a pivotal role in transforming the organisation and propelling business growth. His extensive experience pans across functions such as turnaround strategy, Business Development, Finance and Supply Chain Management. Prior to joining DMCC Speciality Chemicals Limited, Mr. Goculdas worked with companies such as Western Sugar (Colorado, USA) and Borax Morarji Ltd.

An ardent believer of sustainable development, he has steered DMCC towards zero liquid discharge operations and amongst the lowest carbon footprints in the Indian chemical industry. He holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Wyoming, United States and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai.

He is also the President of the Indian Chemical Council (ICC) and on the Board of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) too. He has chaired several expert committees of the ICC, including the Sustainability committee and the Technology committee.

Mr. Sunil Goyal is the Founder and Managing Director of Ladderup Group, a Management and Financial Consultancy firm, and the Founder partner of Kreston SGCO, a management and accounting firm based in Mumbai. With over 30 years of experience, he has expertise in various areas including Management Consultancy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Business Structuring, and more. He has successfully advised over 200 clients in Mid corporates space.

Mr. Sunil Goyal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Rajasthan University and is a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India since 1990. He has been actively involved in professional bodies, having served as the Chairman of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and as a Board Member of the Global Board of Kreston International. He has also held key positions in social bodies, including being the President of the Managing Committee of the RVG hostel and an active member of various organizations like World Hindu Economic Forum, Bharat Vikas Parishad and Agarwal Global Foundation.

Mr. Sunil Goyal is an Independent Director for JSW Group, a leading conglomerate in India, and Indigo Paints Private Limited, a prominent player in the decorative paints industry.

Mr. Pavan Trrivedi is the Executive Director & Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at ECPL. He is a chartered accounted (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a cost accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. With more than 25 years of professional experience in the Manufacturing and Service industries, he is an expert in heading business operations through financial and strategic planning, project financing, Audit, operational excellence, and new venture setup.

Mr. Gaurav Mathur is the Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer of Epsilon Carbon Private Limited (ECPL). He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

With over 30 years of experience in Explosives, Specialty Chemicals, Paints & Coatings, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), and Fertilizers, Gaurav brings a wealth of global and domestic expertise to Epsilon Carbon. His diverse background in Business Integration, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, Leadership & People Development, Technology Innovation, and Customer Success positions him uniquely to lead the company into its next phase of growth.
